Since 2018 we have had to restore trust, stability and pride to the City of Derby, after it was recklessly destroyed by the Labour led Ranjit Banwait era. We have come a long way since then, here are Conservative successes!

Restoring a free all year round brown bin service, abolishing Labour's Brown Bin Tax.

Bringing back fair neighbourhood funding to all wards in Derby! £10,000 which gives more control for Councillors to support their communities. Once removed by Labour.

Investing £12 million in SmartParc to unlock 5,000 jobs of food manufacturing with private investment of £300 million.

Building a new £45 million, 3,500 seater performance venue whilst attracting £200 million of investment to regenerate Duckworth Square.

Increasing our Public Protection Officers to 20 so every ward has a dedicated PPO. Supporting our communities with issues around ASB, parking and environmental crime.

A first class £42 million Olympic swimming pool at Moorways with flumes, slides, Wow ball and play facilities. A superior upgrade from Labour's drab plans.

Investing an extra £9 million into our highways to bring our key corridors up to standard.

With diligent and transformational leadership we have seen Ofsted award our Children Services Outstanding. The first time in Derby City Council's history.

A root and branch review of why the A52 project failed under the Labour led council. We made sure we got the project back on track and delivered under the new budget.

Continued retention of all of our Green Flag Awards in our big 6 Parks in Derby.

Retaining our Purple Flag Award for a safe night time economy in our city.

£1.7 million invested from Safer Streets Fund to include more CCTV, ANPR and training to improve our streets and make them safe.

Co-creating a nuclear academy at the I-Hub with Rolls Royce. Bringing 200 apprentices every year for 10 years. A revolution of high tech and skilled workforce.

Transforming our historic Victorian market hall by turning it into an attractive retail and leisure destination fit for the future. Preserving its rich history.

Delivered multiple Covid grants to help our businesses through the pandemic.

Through the response of Covid, we sought the venture of embracing our voluntary sector and helped create a Community Hub with Community Action Derby.

Installation of bin sensors on our most used bins in the city, to help create efficient collections and avoid full and unsightly waste build up.

Created a booking system for Raynesway recycling centre, removing the need to queue. Much needed after years of frustrations to users and nearby businesses.

Helped secure CityFibre investment in Derby, bringing in high tech gigabit infrastructure to our neighbourhoods. Now being rolled out across the city.

Increased the amount of Local Area Co-ordinators so that every ward in the city has a dedicated officer to help support our most vulnerable.

Continued investment and delivery of the Our City,Our River flood defence.

Creation of a £5 million growth fund to support business develop and create more jobs for our city.

Joint investment of £15 million to create a Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Infinity Park.

A new joint enforcement hub helping bring back a city centre Police presence, whilst working with our Public Protection Officers.

Built 3 news schools, with Ravensdale Infant School built in just 45 weeks after a devastating fire. Making sure we have the best modern schools available to our children.

Secured a new temporary footbridge for Darley Abbey in record time whilst a long term plan is developed.

Working collaboratively to secure £70 million on the South Derby Growth Zone. Unlocking 4,750 homes, industrial businesses and a new junction on the A50

Helped secure £45 million of private investment on the "Chad Triangle/Chaddesden Sidings" bringing 1,250 jobs with it. A long awaited development thanks to the completion and changes made to the A52 project.
